Hydro-2F
Multi-Frequency Synthetic Beam Bathymetric & Sea Floor Sonar
Our Hydro-2F Multi-Frequency Synthetic Beam Bathymetric & Sea Floor Sonar provides a high frequency (200
Khz.) channel for surficial sea bottom determination and charting of bathymetry; and a second frequency for
bottom penetration; The user may select 10, 12, 18, 24, 28, or 30 Khz. for the
lower-channel. Uses for the low-frequency channel include hydrographic surveys in high turbidity
waters, determination of true hard sea bottom to determine navigable depth, detection of back-filled bridge
pile scour holes. Lastly, using Unabara’s machine learning algorithm for predicting geotechnical
parameters (wet bulk sediment density, porosity, and grain-size details), sea bottom sediment types can be
overlayed over maps and satellite photographs to provide an augmented reality display of the survey
area. The Sediment View (SV) option can provide display of vertical slices of the sea bottom
along the survey’s track lines.
